doghand allows the spectator to witness processes of perspectival shift; how the practice of underhanded tactics that situate a body into a submissive state can be utilized by the body itself to exit submission. The performance of such transition deals with the effect of weight and tightness and foregrounds the problematics of utopian liberation through looseness. Instead, doghand proposes a methodology of tensile reconfiguration as a way to experience improvised freedom in tight spaces.
